Nearly every state is investigating the credentialing of all personnel who may be deployed in a mass casualty or other catastrophic event. Such a system which will necessitate the use of an identification card and smartcards are at the forefront for use in such situations due to the enhanced security and functionality that they offer. The RAPTOR credentialing system can act as the primary repository of a state based credentialing program or can be integrated with additional databases to provide comprehensive functionality. Putting together individual elements of an Identification and Credentialing program can be a manageable task. Many states have started this process by creating a registry for physicians and other clinical specialists.
