What is a Sponsor List? This is a featured page

  1. What is the sponsor list
    • The sponsor list is one of the first of the security checks and balances built into the basic architecture of the RAPTOR system. In the early versions of the RAPTOR system agencies were required to submit a written sponsor list certifying that delegates of the agency were authorized to register into the system and receive a credential.
    • In current versions the sponsor list and the process are automated within the system. An authorized agency administrator accesses the Agency’s sponsor list from the Admin menu. The administrator then enters in some very basic information on the “candidate” they are sponsoring. This information includes Name; first, last, middle, suffix; as well as the Date of Birth. When a candidate accesses the system for the first time in the registration process RAPTOR compares the information in the sponsor list to the information reported in the registration form. If the information matches up exactly, the candidate is allowed to complete the registration application and move on to the enrollment forms. If the information does not match up RAPTOR generates a message to the Candidate to contact their Agency Administrator for assistance. This process is in place to prevent unauthorized individuals from claiming an affiliation with an agency and creating a false record.
    • For each affiliation a RAPTOR system user claims a corresponding Sponsor list entry must be present.
