Module is a term that is used in regards to the Skill and Training Administration functions. Many aspects of the RAPTOR system are built in tiers to allow for easy management and manipulation of data. You may recall that your professional or volunteer affiliation is built as follows
  1. Executive Type
    1. Agency and Agency Type
      1. Departments / Divisions
  2. A module is the middle layer or category when referring to skill sets for example

      1. Skill Module
        1. Skill Detail

This format allows our technical team and subject matter experts to enter and maintain Skill information in a format that RAPTOR recognizes and allows users and administrators to navigate through the system easier and Faster. Take these abridged examples;

  1. Skill Category: Fire Fighter II
    1. Skill Module: Fire Department Communications
      1. Skill Details: Complete a Basic Incident Report
      2. Skill Details: Communicate the need for assistance
    2. Skill Module: Fire Ground Operations
      1. Skill Details: Extinguish an Ignitable Liquid
      2. Skill Details: Protect evidence of the fire cause
  2. Skill Category: Basic Municipal Police Officer Training
    1. Skill Module: Drug Identification and Investigation
      1. Skill Details: Characteristics and Packaging
      2. Skill Details: Recognize the physiological effects and outward manifestations of persons under the influence
    2. Skill Module: Civil Rights, Civil Liability and Criminal Liability
      1. Skill Details: General Liability, attached to the performance of law enforcement duties related to false arrest
      2. Skill Details: Treatment of suspects and arrestees
