Cross Jurisdiction Skill and Training UniformityThis is a featured page

What type of control is used to insure skill and training uniformity for departments across the country, so that each agency is entering all their personnel’s skills and not just some?

The RAPTOR system uses a proprietary code process to compare skills across jurisdictions. In order for this process to work Advance Response Concepts subject matter experts start by entering in the entire curriculum down to the individual learning objectives of each and every training and certification program. When they are available Advance Response Concepts uses existing national standards to establish the baseline. For example NFPA Professional Qualification Standards for the fire service, National Registry Standards for EMS, and FEMA/EMI courses for incident management. Where no national standards exist, as in the case of law enforcement, Advance Response Concepts subject matter experts take a representative sampling of training curriculum from across the country and build a defacto baseline standard. This baseline can then be altered, adding or subtracting individual skills, by your training administrator to make sure it is in line with the scope of practice in your jurisdiction. The RAPTOR system compares your baseline to the national standard and the baseline of the receiving jurisdiction and reports the discrepancies.
